Orchestras Central provides orchestral experiences for the community - we believe orchestras are for everyone and an essential part of a thriving region. 

We deliver an annual calendar of around 35 events connecting with over 9,500 people throughout Hamilton and the wider Waikato region. With four orchestras our 'orchestral ecosystem' is crucial in ensuring the vitality of our region’s arts scene.

• Trust Waikato Symphony Orchestra (TWSO) “by with and for the community” remains at the heart of our community music programme.

• Rusty Player Orchestra offers relaxed amateur sessions for musical enjoyment and social connection

• Youth Orchestra Waikato provides an orchestral development pathway and a sense of belonging to aspiring young musicians.

• OCT Ensemble, Waikato’s professional group, presents ‘out of the box’ experiences, inclusive and accessible programmes, cultural interchanges and collaborations.

• Plus Skills Development programmes for conductors, composers and musicians at all levels.
